Biography

Alice supports clients to: secure environmental and ETS permits; procure waste treatment and collection services; create strategies for reducing and managing their waste; create or carry out regulatory processes; and collate research and evidence to help inform business or policy decisions. Her experience includes supporting on the successful application to permit the UK’s first industrial-scale carbon capture and utilisation plant!

Alice is interested in the challenges faced in the drive towards a circular economy and the fight against the climate crisis, and enjoys sharing her experiences through articles and getting involved with the industry via her CIWM membership. As a Chartered Resource and Waste Manager, Alice was shortlisted for Let's Recycle's '35 Under 35' in the Waste and Recycling industry in 2021, out of more than 130 applicants, and is an active member of the CIWM London & Southern Counties Centre (LSCC) council.

Her project sector experience includes: waste management and recycling (including permitting, strategy and procurement); the EU and UK emissions trading schemes; carbon capture and utilisation; energy from waste (including pyrolysis); other waste incineration; combustion and power generation (including peaking plants, medium combustion plant and specified generators); manufacturing; food and drink; and fuel storage.
