Accredited Hazmat training: upcoming courses
01 Jan 2024
The emergency services are often called upon to respond to incidents involving hazardous materials (hazmat), which are known to be some of the most dangerous incident types a responder could be faced with. Unlike other incident types, traditional hazmat incidents are relatively low frequency, therefore this increases the risk to responders as they are not as familiar with developing and implementing a response to such incidents.
All Emergency Services are responsible under legislation and regulations for developing policies and procedures, and to provide information, instruction, training, and supervision to their personnel about foreseeable hazards and the control measures used to mitigate the risks arising from those hazards during an incident.
The below JOIFF accredited open programme courses are delivered by Ricardo’s experienced hazmat advisors in partnership with the UK’s Fire Service College, allowing learners to experience world class input whilst at world class training facilities.
