Ricardo Performance Products customer, Hyundai Motorsport is celebrating back-to-back wins following another first place in Ypres, Belgium in the FIA World Rally Championship (WRC).
Hot on the heels of his victory in Finland, driver Ott Tänak, alongside his co-driver Martin Järveoja, delivered an outstanding performance in challenging conditions to secure victory over the second placed driver, with 5.0 seconds to spare.
Tänak goes into the next round of the WRC at the legendary EKO Acropolis Rally in Lamia, Greece on 8-11 September in good form. Performance Products has a long-standing agreement to supply Hyundai Motorsport (based in Alzenau, Germany) with drivelines for both Rally 1 and Rally 2 championships.
Performance Products design, manufacture, assemble and end of line test the gearbox and rear axle of the front engined, four-wheel drive vehicle, along with providing all spares, from its Midlands Technical Centre in Leamington Spa, UK. This year (2022) represents the first time Rally 1 has been hybrid powered by regulation.
