Ricardo congratulates Sir Terry Morgan on award of knighthood
10 June 2016

It was announced yesterday evening that Ricardo plc Chairman Terry Morgan has been knighted in the Queen’s 90th Birthday honours list for services to UK infrastructure, skills and employment.

The Queen’s Birthday Honours list was published late on 10 June 2016, marking the occasion of Her Majesty’s official 90th birthday, and recognizing the achievements of a wide range of extraordinary people right across the United Kingdom. Each recipient exemplifies the very best of the nation – with Sir Terry recognised in the area of industry and the economy, having been recommended by the relevant specialist committee.

Sir Terry joined the board of Ricardo plc in January 2014 and was appointed Chairman of the company in October the same year. He has been Chairman of Crossrail Limited since 2009 and prior to this he was Chief Executive of Tube Lines, a PPP company that was contracted to maintain and upgrade the infrastructure of the Jubilee, Northern and Piccadilly lines. Sir Terry is the past President of the CMI (Chartered Management Institute) and a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering and the Institute of Electrical Engineers.

“Both personally as a friend and colleague, and also on behalf of the directors and worldwide staff of Ricardo plc, I would like to offer my sincere congratulations to Sir Terry on the award of this knighthood in the Queen’s 90th birthday honours list,” commented Ricardo plc CEO Dave Shemmans.
