Ricardo chief technology & innovation officer Professor Neville Jackson was recognized with the award for ‘Outstanding individual in promoting low carbon transport’ at the annual Low Carbon Champions Awards, hosted to coincide with the LCV2015 event.

The Low Carbon Vehicle Partnership (LowCVP) announced the Low Carbon Champions for 2014-15 last night at a packed gala dinner held in association with Cenex – UK’s centre of excellence for low carbon and fuel cell technologies – in Milton Keynes, UK. The Champions Awards celebrate achievement and innovation in low carbon road transport.

Speaking about the awards, LowCVP MD Andy Eastlake said: “It’s always a pleasure to celebrate success and there were many reasons to commend the contribution of this year’s entries to cutting emissions, both of greenhouse gases and local pollutants. The winning entries – and those recognised as runners-up and short-listed – are exciting examples of a vibrant and innovative low carbon road transport sector in the UK that is going from strength to strength.”

Commenting on the award for ‘Outstanding individual in promoting low carbon transport,’ Professor Jackson said: "I am deeply honoured to accept this award for the promotion of low carbon transportation, but I do so on behalf of my team at Ricardo who are committed to exploring new technology and innovation solutions to reducing the environmental impacts of energy and transport networks."
