Batteries are significant assets in electrified vehicles, placing importance on effective management of battery life for OEMs and fleet operators. Advancement in vehicle connectivity and data availability provides an opportunity to improve battery management and health estimation, but how do we best exploit the data to do this, as well as reduce range anxiety and avoid unscheduled trips to the dealer?

In this  webinar, Ricardo’s Kenan Mustafa and Farraen Mohd. Azmin answer this question using Ricardo’s Connected Battery Management System (BMS) platform and give insight into Ricardo’s virtual fleet modelling methodology and prognostics approaches.

They also show how fleet modelling allows Ricardo to assess machine learning algorithms and BMS strategies and to develop software updates, which can be tailored to regional or operational behaviour and trialled virtually.
