Our webinar, Ricardo Dedicated Hybrid Engines: Design Innovation for Reducing Emissions Weight and Cost, is also available to view here. You will need to supply your contact details in order to view this content.
This webinar is also available in Japanese.
Over the next 5 to 10 years, as automotive OEMs face more and more stringent emissions and greenhouse gas targets, we will see some of the greatest changes in powertrain architectures, not least for the internal combustion engine as an integral part of dedicated hybrid powertrains. One of the biggest challenges the engine faces is to reduce fuel consumption and emissions whilst focusing on cost and weight reduction as the powertrains become more complex.
In this free 60-minute webinar, Ricardo’s Dave Read, Chief Engineer, Passenger Car Propulsion, shares his experience of dedicated hybrid engine design innovation via Ricardo’s own targeted research. He discusses his thoughts on dedicated hybrid engine design innovation demonstrating the right balance of performance, cost and technology for C segment HEVs and how, through addition of additional technologies and modularisation, the core design can be applied to other vehicle segments with different performance, emissions and attribute requirements.
First broadcast on 24th September 2020.
