With increasing legislative and customer pressure to reduce emissions and green-house gasses, the truck industry is in a very active development phase with a race to find the best solutions.

In the next 10-15 years the truck architecture is expected to say largely unchanged, but beyond that there are opportunities for more radical solutions.

Ricardo is active in this area and is considering evolutionary and revolutionary truck architectures and the appropriate powertrain solutions to meet the future requirement with optimal Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).

This webinar provides an introduction to our work and ideas and will cover:

  • Requirements and possible architectures for future trucks
  • Our analytical approach to assessing the alternative including the assessment of TCO
  • A modular Electric Drive Unit system
  • A view on future fuels and their application in trucks

This webinar first aired on 12th March 2020.
