Biography

Andrea is an environmental engineer, geologist, and water policy practitioner with experience across consulting, academic, utility and NGO fields. She has a desire to help clients think strategically about water management and take actions that are both holistic and sustainable. Andrea has managed and supported a variety of advisory, engineering and hydrogeology work in North and Central America, the Middle East, Asia and Australia. She has contributed to reports on water planning and markets, developed water strategies and implementation plans, facilitated and supported consultation across all sectors and conducted evaluations of and developed business cases for major programs both in Australia and overseas. Her background in both science and policy enables her to take an interdisciplinary approach to every project and to act as a liaison between diverse stakeholders and topics.

Prior to joining, Andrea worked as a Water Planning Officer for Sunwater in Queensland, helping the utility manage its water licences within the relevant policy and legislative frameworks and training operators on the Queensland planning framework and its’ applications in a utility context. She also worked as a research assistant on various water law and food security research programs. Andrea values strong client relationships and feels it is important to be approachable and collaborative. She is a detail-oriented project manger who users her interdisciplinary background and strong written and verbal communication skills to translate complex economic and policy conclusions to straightforward, usable outputs.
