Ben Williams

Ben is an experienced advisor with 11 years of experience in water markets and over 20 years working with irrigated agriculture and industry. Since joining in 2022, Ben has worked with private and public sector clients, positively contributing to great client outcomes. With intimate knowledge of water markets, he provides a unique perspective on complex water market issues and strategies to support critical water management decisions.

Previously, Ben spent the last 10 years in water markets as a broker and advisor, most recently with Ruralco Water and Waterexchange, supporting clients with their market interactions and water investments. During this time, Ben also served four years as President of the Australian Water Brokers Association (AWBA), where he led engagements with industry and Government on regulatory, operational, and policy issues. Ben also served two years on the South Australian Department of Environment Water and Natural Resource Central Adelaide Water Allocation Advisory Committee. Ben’s broader experience includes extensive business management, development and international trade.

Ben takes a collaborative approach to problem-solving and enjoys building strong relationships with his colleagues. He is a clear, authentic communicator and regularly presents water market briefings to large and small groups. Ben is pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at the University of South Australia and Adelaide University.
