Colin McNaught
Biography
Colin has 30 years’ experience advising on energy issues for policymakers and investors. Working initially in energy efficiency, then CHP, he worked on renewable electricity and local energy systems, developing projections and scenarios, evidence-based decisions for future power system architecture, plus horizon-scanning renewable energy technology innovations and markets. He has led extensive renewable energy feasibility studies, and undertaken audits and due diligence studies on wind, hydro, biomass and tidal energy technologies. He has assessed and developed transport energy infrastructure solutions needed to provide electricity, hydrogen and ammonia for road, rail and marine use. He leads hydrogen activities, building on his decade of experience with global clients.
