Eireann Harkins
Eireann's Story
What is your role at Ricardo?
I am primarily a project and programme manager across an array of sustainability teams including heat, net zero and building retrofit.
What does your average day at Ricardo look like?
Coordination - an average day for me is check-ins with projects to ensure they are delivering allowing a safe space to raise any challenges or escalation. I then have progress calls with the client, preparing for deliverables and maintaining a professional yet friendly relationship.
I regularly attend knowledge share sessions to develop a baseline knowledge of sectors and provide support and input into bidding opportunities across the sustainability teams.
What do you look forward to at work?
The people at Ricardo have an incredible amount of technical and sector based knowledge. I look forward to tapping into their knowledge and building an understanding of a small sector of their pipelines.
What do you find most rewarding at work? / Are you proud to work at Ricardo?
We have an incredible team to work with at Ricardo. I’m so proud of us being a praise culture where we support and value all levels and their dedication of the work we produce.
How have you developed your career at Ricardo?
I joined Ricardo in 2020 as a level 1 analyst and was promoted to level 2 after 18 months. It was a fast-paced development which my team leader was super supportive of. I moved team leaders due to a restructure and that allowed me to develop my project management skills which led me to be promoted just this year to level 3.
