James Harries

James is a Principal Technical Consultant at Ricardo Energy & Environment, working on international climate change issues, including Nationally Determined Contributions under the Paris Agreement, mitigation actions, climate governance, financing of climate action and transparency requirements under the Paris Agreement. James was the lead author of the NDC implementation quick-start guide in 2016 and has a great deal of experience in country-level implementation and monitoring of NDCs, including in Bangladesh, Myanmar, Kenya, Uganda and Zambia. He was also the lead author of the MRV training tool for GIZ and has supported a number of countries on designing systems for tracking progress on climate policy.
