Lawson Cole
Biography
Lawson is an experienced adviser and project manager in water policy, governance and reform. He provides advice to support policy and decision-making across the policy life cycle, through policy analysis and advice, performance frameworks, strategies and evaluations, and business cases and investment advice.
Lawson has specialised knowledge and experience across a range of urban and rural water disciplines including water markets, non-urban water metering, planning and licensing, and brings a structured ‘first-prinicples’ approach to his work. He has delivered impactful policy advice supporting changes to Tasmania’s water accountability framework and revised governance arrangements for the Australian Capital Territory’s water sector.
Lawson has successfully provided project management services and support for complex and multidisciplinary projects and programs for Commonwealth and State government clients, including the:
· Healthy Floodplains Project for NSW DCCEEW (Jul 2020- Dec 2022)
· Better management of environemtnal water project as part of the NSW Water Reform Action Plan reforms (2020)
· Independent Panel assessing social and economic conditions in the MDB (2019-2020).
Lawson has experience planning and delivering stakeholder engagement activities with diverse stakehokders including government agencies, comnunities and private secor entities. He brings a collaborative approach and is dedicated to supporting government clients in developing and implementing sustainable water management policies and practices.
