Group Tax Manager

Salary: £65,000 to £80,000 plus benefits

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Group finance team to recruit an accomplished corporate tax specialist.  With operations in over 25 countries, we are looking to expand our Global Tax team with this new role. This role presents a unique opportunity to expand your existing corporate knowledge to cover new areas of tax and new territories.

We're looking for an experienced UK Tax Reporting and Corporate Tax Compliance Manager to collaborate with and work closely with our Group Head of Tax and external partners to bring UK compliance in house and assist on multiple projects. We will assist you in developing your tax knowledge in new categories.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing Group Tax Disclosures/ Global Corporate Tax Compliance
  • Preparing UK Tax returns, including preparing the CFC return, preparing ETR and QIP forecasts, and drafting group financial statements tax disclosures.
  • Assistance with preparing RDEC claims, collaborating with different businesses and functions.
  • Assisting with international M&A projects, including integration of acquired entities into our group.
  • Assisting with Transfer Pricing including review of agreements, and liaison with external TP advisors.
  • Identifying, developing, and implementing process standardisation initiatives.
  • Monitoring local country tax submissions / liaising with external advisors, ensuring on-time filing of local country obligations with an initial focus on the USA.
  • Monitoring our tax fee budget, automating where possible.
  • Liaising with our Legal and Treasury teams and others on tax matters relating to corporate governance and our entity structure, including Permanent Establishment queries and Corporate Criminal Offence training.
  • Assisting with ad hoc advice to the business on a wide range of topics including VAT and Employment tax globally.

Key Competencies and Experience

  • Professional Tax and/or accounting qualification
  • Substantial experience of Tax Accounting and Provision experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with highly experienced business and tax professionals.
  • Flexible mindset and willingness to embrace change and develop new areas of expertise
