The Role
The Solutions Marketing Manager is responsible for driving the success of Ricardo, its solutions and brand proposition in key regional markets across our targeted industries.
The role requires an energetic and intuitive marketing strategist with exceptional leadership and communication skills, and a proven ability to deliver effective marketing campaigns that generate results.
The successful candidate will be proficient in creating and managing plans that support regional lead generation and act as a single point of contact, with global responsibility for marketing one of Ricardo’s portfolios, to ensure consistent brand promotion and positioning across the globe.
This is a hands-on role, requiring coordination and execution of the global marketing plan of our solutions, in region and across industries.
Key Accountabilities
- To drive and implement global marketing campaigns that meet business objectives and create leads.
- Write tactical marketing plans in accordance with strategy and budgets, with input from relevant teams to ensure an integrated marcomms approach.
- To direct and support customer-research projects that will drive customer intimacy.
- To drive the creative development of segment multi-channel campaigns (website and social media), marketing collateral and sales tools.
- To build and manage customer relationships with channel and installed-base partners to support higher levels of revenues for the business.
- Serve as the marketing liaison with Solution Heads and our Regional leads in evaluating needs and obtaining insights to optimise the marketing plan.
- Accountable for working with key internal stakeholders to develop campaigns and engagement strategies to deliver integrated marketing activities.
- Assess market needs and opportunities, obtain insights on customer usage, and identify and analyse industry trends.
- To maintain Ricardo’s brand standards and guidelines and ensure compliance across all marketing and communications channels.
- Monitor and manage expenditures within the allotted budget.
Key competencies and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business management, communications, or relevant field.
- Professional marketing experience.
- Creative thinker, excellent listener, and communicator.
- Proven experience creating targeted marketing campaigns delivering ROI.
- Data-driven (competitor analysis, surveys, SEO/keywords)
- Demonstrable experience of marketing practices and techniques.
- Must be able to multi-task and work well under pressure.
- Excellent organisational and leadership abilities.
- Have excellent stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience of marketing tools including automation software, CRM, Adobe creative cloud preferred.
- Possession of strong relationship building and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to bring operational rigour to deliver a compelling marketing plan delivering results.
- Ability to be resourceful as well as strong at probing, translating information into insight.
- Sound understanding of the sales environment and an appreciation of the pressures and drivers associated with working in sales.
- In-depth knowledge and ability to apply marketing planning techniques and best practices.
- Experience of collaborating in a cross-functional and cross-culture organisation, with the ability to act as the bridge between the sales teams (business development and regional teams) and the solutions teams.
