IT Systems Engineer

Deliver high-quality IT services that meet or exceed the expectations of our clients and stakeholders, focusing on the provision, support, and compliance of Servers, Storage, Virtual Infrastructure on premise, and in Cloud Environments 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage incidents, events, and change processes.
  • Oversee vulnerability, patch, and privileged access management.
  • Conduct cloud cost analysis and plan for obsolescence.
  • Resolve 2nd and 3rd line support tickets and provide after-hours support as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO/IEC 27001:2022 standards.
  • Monitor infrastructure performance, implement improvements, and maintain IT asset records.
  • Provide support for manufacturing IT, endpoints, telephony, and office solutions.

Key Competencies and Experience

  • Azure VMs / Azure AD / Group Policy / Certificates / PowerShell / ADFS / DNS / DHCP / O + M365 
  • Exchange 365 / 2019, SSO, AAD Proxy and Conditional Access 
  • Amazon Web Services compute and storage 
  • Backup / Disaster Recovery / Business Continuity 
  • Privileged Access Management 
  • VMWare vSphere / vCenter 7+ / Hyper-V 
  • All current Windows Server and Desktop OS 
  • Basic UNIX/Linux experience desirable 
  • Project Management Frameworks 
  • Vendor Management 

Desirable Competencies and Experience

  • Experience in using IT service management frameworks and tools such as ITIL 
  • Knowledge of Azure Fundamentals 
  • Experience in working in the engineering, environmental, or strategic consultancy sector 
  • Qualification in an IT discipline 
  • Experience working in a Geographically distributed team 
  • Networking knowledge including LAN/WAN, TCP/IP and related protocols, familiarity with switching equipment.
