Analyst Consultant - Planning

We are currently looking for an Analyst Consultant – Planning to join our growing Statutory and Strategic Planning team.
This role would suit a recent graduate or early career professional.
Key responsibilities
- Support the preparation of reports in statutory and strategic planning projects, including planning permit applications, strategy plans, and master plans.
- Assist in the preparation of reports to Tribunal and Planning Panels.
- Assist and coordinate with other members of the project team in the preparation of deliverables.
- Maintain positive relationships with existing clients.
- Report any project issues early to your Line Manager.
- Keep up to date with legislation and regulations relevant to the role.
Key competencies and experience
- 0-2 years’ experience in statutory or strategic planning and application of the Victoria Planning Provisions, ideally in a local government or consultancy environment.
- Tertiary qualification in Urban / Regional Planning.
- Current Victorian Driver’s License.
- Demonstrated experience managing project deliverables to completion, within time-frame, and to a high standard.
- Proven track record of contributing high quality work.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and ability to learn new systems.

- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills; able to produce high quality reports as well as communicate confidently with a variety of clients and stakeholders.
- Exceptional organisational skills with excellent attention to detail and ability to work methodically and thoroughly.
- Strong research and analytical skills.
- Well developed customer service capabilities with the ability to develop and nurture stakeholder relationships at all levels both internally and externally.
- Ability to concisely present information in written form (e.g., reporting, presentations).
- Team player, able to provide support to the wider team on projects.
- Adaptability and willingness to learn and improve technical expertise.
- Self-motivated with a desire to achieve high standards.
- Excellent problem-solving capabilities.
