Change Management Lead

The primary job role for a Change Management Lead is to design, develop, implement and manage change deliverables that will enable impacted users to successfully transition from their current state to a future state.

The Change Management Lead will report to the Head of Rail Operations and work collaboratively with the Rail Safety Manager and the Routeway Activity Manager.

Responsibilities for this role include:

  • Active monitoring of changes impacting the system:
    • Change in law, legislation, standards
    • Change in procedures
    • Change of functionalities of systems used in the CPB RIM
    • Change of interfaces
    • Changes to the CPB RIM
  • Planning and developing change management deliverables aligned with CPB’s change management process, including:
    • Communications relating to changes
    • Change management training, coaching
    • Stakeholder engagement
    • Change impact assessments
    • Organisational readiness analysis
    • Resistance management
    • Change reinforcement
  • Stakeholder engagement on changes regarding Rail Safety
  • Managing change activities within a defined process framework
  • Creating and implementing a systematic approach to change management and supporting procedures that fall under the purview of change management
  • Assessing the effect of the change and the organisation's preparedness to reduce possible safety risk
  • Providing training, coaching and communication as part of change management.
  • Monitoring effectiveness of controls following implementation of the change.
  • Creating full traceability and record on change management implementation.

Change Management Lead Qualifications:

  • Substantial experience with large scale organizations leading change in the safety and asset management space
  • Experience in planning and managing complex projects, combining process, organizational change, and technical workstreams
  • Exceptional, highly polished written and oral communication skills
  • Facilitate senior-level meetings to surface and resolve sensitive issues and drive alignment
  • Consult and coach project teams
  • Coach impacted managers and supervisors
  • Manage communications, training, and stakeholder engagement
  • Responsible for the success of all change management deliverables 
  • Experience leading initiatives with onsite teams
