Assembly Technician
Ricardo’s Performance Products division are seeking an Assembly Technician on a contract basis. You will be responsible for the preparation and build of gearboxes and axles for low volume, high value driveline systems for a variety of customers. whilst upholding the highest quality standards.
Role autonomy:
- Works within established practices and follows assigned priorities and deadlines.
- If unsure, is expected to stop / call / wait.
- Reports to a team leader.
- Reacts to challenges as they arise while following safe working operations and standard procedures.
- With experience is capable of training others
Problem solving element:
- Demonstrates logical thinking and resolves routine problems, offering recommendations.
- Understands and solves medium complexity issues while escalating larger problems - or resolving them with support.
- Understands and interprets requirements accurately through questioning, listening, clarifying, and implementing.
- Supports investigations and contributes ideas for continuous improvement.

Knowledge and complexity:
- Has good assembly and or test skills

Additional/special features of the role: Location / Travel:
- Expected to be UK based within the RPP office in Leamington Spa, 5 days per week
Essential technical and professional skills, knowledge and qualifications:
- Minimum GCSE in Mathematics and English (Grade C or above).
- Likely to have served a traditional apprenticeship or have relevant experience.
- Assembly and / or end of line test experience of mechanical and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to use measurement equipment such as vernier, micrometer etc.
- Intermediate level of PC and general computer skills – good working knowledge of MS office.
- Good organisational skills. Is self-motivated and proactive.
