Ricardo and COP28

Annual global conference

The 28th United Nations Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP28) will take place in Dubai, running from 30 November to 12 December.

COP28 UAE will involve the first Global Stocktake of progress on the Paris Agreement and provide a comprehensive assessment of progress to date. To keep existing commitments on track, four key pillars have been set out to deliver negotiated outcomes:

  1. fast tracking a just, orderly, and equitable energy transition;
  2. fixing climate finance;
  3. focusing on people, lives and livelihoods; and
  4. underpinning everything with full inclusivity.

Ricardo's experts will participate in talks and events at this years' conference to contribute to ongoing discussions on solving the global climate crisis.

Funding the cost of change

We advise governments, donors, development banks and international institutions in areas such as:

  • climate investment planning and financing the implementation of NDCs;
  • capacity building and strengthening national institutions to access climate finance;
  • identifying where public finance is best placed to leverage private sector funds; and
  • tracking and evaluating climate finance flows.

Ricardo also supports countries in the development and implementation of NDCs, including sectoral action plans, National Adaptation Plans and climate investment plans. Our multidisciplinary teams have delivered a range of climate change projects throughout the world. The map below highlights a selection of these projects:
