Join us as we dive into the world of clean maritime, exploring the potential for green shipping corridors between the UK, Norway and Denmark.

As part of the UK Department for Transport’s Clean Maritime Demonstration Competition: International Green Corridor Fund (CMDC5: IGCF), Ricardo, DNV & LITEHAUZ were commissioned to undertake pre-feasibility studies assessing the potential to establish green shipping corridors. These studies aim to support the early-stage development of zero-emission shipping routes by identifying promising corridors based on current traffic patterns, fuel consumption and emissions data, vessel suitability, port infrastructure readiness, and stakeholder perspectives.

This online event will showcase a set of case studies for selected high-potential routes, which explore the operational, technical and regulatory challenges of implementing zero-emission shipping. Each case study includes:
•    Fuel and energy demand assessments
•    Cost estimates for vessel retrofits, alternative fuel uptake, and supporting port infrastructure
•    Identification of safety, regulatory and supply chain barriers
•    Environmental impact comparisons
