Free webinar: Investment in natural capital - using environmental economics to measure costs, benefits and account for uncertainty
09 Dec 2021
Natural capital has an essential role in mitigating climate change and regulating its effects. Natural capital also provides a wide range of other benefits for the planet, its ecosystems, and its people. Investing in the restoration and conservation of natural capital is therefore emerging as a central response to mitigate and adapt to climate change.
However, identifying and valuing the full suite of benefits from different investments in natural capital can be a challenge. Understanding how these benefits might be affected by future climate change scenarios is even more challenging.
In this webinar, we outline a summary of our insights into the use of environmental economics to identify and value the costs and benefits of natural capital investments and account for uncertainty. We will draw on some recent case studies to bring the approach to life.
