Ricardo Leadership Visits Australia

From November 25 to 29, Ricardo’s CEO Graham Ritchie and Head of Clean Energy & Environmental Solutions Rachel White visited Australia to engage directly with teams across the Adelaide, Brisbane, and Melbourne offices. Their tour provided an invaluable opportunity to connect with staff, discuss the outstanding projects underway, and hear firsthand about the impactful work Ricardo is delivering in Australia.

Highlights of the Visit

Adelaide: Monday, November 25

The week began in Adelaide, where Graham and Rachel joined the local team for a series of events and client meetings. They hosted a lunch with Ricardo clients, engaging with industry leaders and discussing shared goals. One of the standout moments of the day was the unveiling of Ricardo’s new reconciliation artwork by Arrernte artist Scott Rathman, marking the company’s commitment to its Reconciliation Action Plan and its journey towards strengthening relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.

Brisbane: Tuesday, November 26 – Wednesday, November 27

In Brisbane, Graham and Rachel attended the AusRAIL conference, Australia’s premier rail industry event, accompanied by a large cohort of Ricardo Australia employees from the rail practice. The Ricardo Rail team enjoyed engaging in discussion with Rachel, Graham and our clients on key issues in rail. The following day, they engaged in a series of discussions with our experts and clients across the Rail, Water, and Environment sectors, reinforcing Ricardo's dedication to environmental advisory services in Australia.

Melbourne: Thursday, November 28 – Friday, November 29

The tour wrapped up with two days in Melbourne, where Graham and Rachel were welcomed into our Melbourne offices for some on ground time with our CE&ES team members. Rachel White also participate in a leadership discussion focused on diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI).

Throughout the busy two days in Melbourne, Graham and Rachel also met with a range of clients from the water and rail sectors and maritime and mining industries. Graham concluded his client meetings in Australia engaging with leading automotive manufacturers and a hosted lunch at the British Chamber of Commerce.
