UK SAF Clearing House

Supporting the testing and qualification of sustainable aviation fuels.

The UK's Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAF) Clearing House has been established to support industry to deploy sustainable aviation fuels by facilitating the development, evaluation, and qualification of jet fuel from sustainable sources. These sustainable fuels will help to be a critical part of the reduction of carbon emissions from the aviation industry, delivering a potential carbon emissions reduction of over 70% compared with conventional jet fuels.

The Department of Transport (DfT), the Energy Institute at the University of Sheffield and Ricardo will deliver the UK’s SAF Clearing House, working closely with stakeholders and organisations across the industry.

The UK's SAF Clearing House will officially launch in November 2023.
