27 March 2025
Ricardo has been appointed as a lead supplier for the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero’s (DESNZ) Energy and Net Zero Professional Services (ENZPS) Framework.
The recently announced £250 million ENZPS framework initiative supports the UK Government’s Clean Power mission by providing DESNZ with deep technical expertise to support both policy development and implementation of vital energy system services to achieve net zero and maintain the UK’s position at the leading edge of technology.
Ricardo was successful in its bid to lead in four of the seven lots - the maximum permissible, to provide expert strategy, design and delivery, change and transportation, and enterprise and innovation advice on projects relating to Renewables Energy and Infrastructure, Heat Networks, Emerging Technologies, and Industrial Transformation.
Ricardo's Vice President of Energy Transition, Nikunj Panchal, said: “Ricardo’s appointment to the ENZPS framework comes at a pivotal time for the UK in the energy transition. This framework puts Ricardo at the forefront of future developments, and we look forward to contributing our expertise to DESNZ to address some of the most challenging and complex issues facing the energy ecosystem.”
Ricardo-led team includes subcontractors Oxera, Worley Consulting, KIWA, Technopolis, IPSOS, Carbon Limiting Technologies, Scottish Carbon Capture & Storage, Challoch Energy, and TADEK. The team will be part of the Framework for an initial two years, with the option to extend by a further two.
