Ricardo’s Martijn Gough appointed to the Victorian Marine and Coastal Council

Martijn Gough, Ricardo Resilience, Adaptation, and Nature team lead, has been appointed Deputy Chair to the Victorian Marine and Coastal Council (VMaCC).

The Victorian Marine and Coastal Council is the state’s peak advisory body on coastal and marine issues. Established under the Marine and Coastal Act 2018 VMaCC provides independent advice on marine and coastal issues to the Minister for Environment and provides leadership in the adaptive planning and management of Victoria’s marine waters and coastal areas.

Martijn is an economist and public policy expert with over 17 years of experience delivering climate change policy and reform. Martijn combines his knowledge of public policy, economics and government operating environments with significant expertise in natural resource management to advise government decision-makers at the highest levels. In addition, his leadership in Ricardo’s Resilience, Adaptation, and Nature team focuses on how communities, businesses and governments adapt, transition effectively, and realise climate change opportunities.
