18 March 2025
Ricardo, a global leader in clean energy and environmental solutions, has joined the Australian Hydrogen Council (AHC), marking a significant step in its commitment to advancing the hydrogen industry and supporting the transition to sustainable energy. This partnership aligns with Ricardo’s focus on clean energy technologies and its expertise in engineering, environmental solutions, and energy systems, positioning the company to contribute to Australia’s growing hydrogen sector.
The Australian Hydrogen Council is the leading industry body for hydrogen development in Australia, working to support the commercialization of hydrogen technologies. By joining the AHC, Ricardo gains access to valuable insights, collaboration opportunities, and the ability to influence key policy decisions shaping the future of hydrogen in Australia.
Ricardo’s deep experience with Clean power (Solar, Wind, BESS), grid infrastructure, Electrolyser OEMs, fuels technology licensors, fuels producers and connecting those with its heritage capabilities in sustainable transport particularly in hydrogen-powered vehicles and infrastructure, will support efforts to scale hydrogen adoption in an integrated way across the entire hydrogen value chain. Additionally, Ricardo’s capabilities in environmental impact assessments and systems engineering will contribute to the development of hydrogen solutions across these industries.
Through this membership, Ricardo also gains opportunities to collaborate with public and private sector stakeholders, advocate for favourable policies, and explore strategic partnerships with organizations focused on hydrogen development.
By participating in the AHC, Ricardo reinforces its commitment to driving innovation and supporting the growth of the hydrogen economy, both in Australia and globally.
Ricardo's Energy lead in Australia, Jorge Martin Gistau, announced their membership at the Australian Hydrogen Council's Member Meeting in March 2025.
